Meet Nathan

It starts with listening. Truly focused listening and digging deeper to understand your needs, your goals and dreams. My clients’ dreams and goals aren’t cookie cutter and neither is my approach to helping them realize those dreams.

Since 2008, I've helped hundreds of Edmontonians buy and sell homes and have been told my secret talent is combining the art and science of real estate to achieve trouble-free experiences and successful results for my clients. It means uncovering what is most important, digging deeper to discover the hidden gems on your house-hunting search while avoiding the lemons, telling the story of your home so it connects with its next owners, along with world-class marketing innovations and tools to get your home seen & sold faster.

Growing up, my grandfather Stanley was a Realtor®. He started Mol Real Estate in 1962 in Charlottetown, PEI and was the first real estate broker & agent in the province. In starting the industry on the Island, he held the first open houses (where over 60 people showed up to see a very modest bungalow!), and advertised in newspapers overseas to attract new immigrants among other inventive strategies; but most importantly, he was dedicated to his clients. When I visit the island now, it’s a treat to run into families with memories of my Grandfather. Whether they bought their first home with him or sought his guidance in selling property, he built trust in his community by listening to his clients’ needs and knowing the market - and that has always inspired me.

After finishing my Commerce Degree out East, I found myself pulled to Alberta where I pursued my Realtor®s License. Having grown up in the industry, I knew the values I wanted in a brokerage and I joined a family real estate business run by Sara MacLennan and Sheldon Johnston at Johnston Real Estate - now Liv Real Estate, and after 12 years, I’m incredibly honoured to be a member of this talented and progressive team.

Edmonton is a vibrant place with so much potential. It has been my pleasure to work with our city in the past as a consultant of sustainable development in urban planning. I volunteer for and support many non-profit organizations in Edmonton including the Edmonton Food Bank, Boyle Street Community Services and Hope Mission among others. In addition, I enjoy paying homage to our great city through social media and photography. I’ve developed @edmontonneighbourhoods, an account on Instagram where the focus is on the great communities of our city and what they have to offer!

In my own neighbourhood, I’m the Vice President of McKernan Community League. My wife, Cara and I reside in the University area with our 5 month old son, Alex and our rescue dog, Yumi. Cara is a palliative care and family doctor who works closely with the inner city population. In our spare time, my family and I are committed to experiencing our city and the great people here as we bike the river valley trails, dine at local restaurants and attend all the incredible events that our city has to offer.

Building community is important to me, which is why I foster strong relationships with my clients through honesty, patience and listening. On top of that, I bring analytical market insights to my clients and stay up to date on the latest marketing trends - this is how I blend together the art and science of the local real estate market. I am here for you and your family as you continue your journey in whichever neighbourhood you decide to land.
